W. H. (Harold) Marsh

Photographer Extraordinaire

From an early age Harold Marsh had a passion for photography, building his first camera from a piece of old Kauri weatherboard. This camera can be viewed amongst our collection today. His foresight  in preserving the past on over 7500 glass plate negatives featuring people, places and events around the Kaipara has provided an irreplaceable treasure for so many to enjoy. Below is a short bio video that was first shown at earlier 29th May celebration.
